Job Description

This position is for an Intervention Specialist serving high school students in a self-contained special education setting for the 2025-2026 school year. The role involves working with students whose behavioral needs range from mild to intense. The contract begins as soon as possible and continues through May 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to the needs of high school students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) focused on student growth.
• Manage classroom behavior using effective strategies adapting to mild to intense behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and support personnel to ensure a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience teaching self-contained special education classes, preferably at the high school level.
• Ability to manage a range of student behaviors effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility for in-person and virtual interviews.
