Qualifications and Experience:

• NC EC Teaching Certification (required)
• Experience teaching at elementary or middle school levels preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborative attitude and commitment to continual professional growth

Responsibilities:

• Provide specially designed instruction to students across elementary and middle school grades
• Develop, track, and report on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess student progress and modify instructional techniques as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
• Maintain up-to-date records and comply with state and federal regulations
• Communicate effectively with families and guardians regarding student progress and needs
• Build an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged and are set up for success
