Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification in Special Education
  • Experience teaching at the elementary, middle, or high school level
  • Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Passion for fostering inclusion and academic growth
  • Proficiency in using adaptive teaching strategies and technology-based supports
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work with families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students IEPs
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
  • Monitor student progress, track data, and adjust strategies as necessary
  • Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Provide a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student success
  • Communicate regularly with families to support students learning and well-being
