Take this opportunity to make a difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students in autism support classrooms. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment with the help of two to three paraprofessionals per class. Classrooms are intentionally kept small, with no more than eight students per room, allowing for meaningful individualized attention and support.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), leading IEP meetings, and maintaining accurate documentation. Youll receive comprehensive onboarding and benefit from ongoing guidance from skilled autism coaches, ensuring you have the tools and support necessary to excel. Multiple classrooms and caseloads are available, giving you the ability to find the right fit for your skills and interests.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License
- Prior experience working with students with autism is preferred
- Comfortable addressing a spectrum of behavioral and educational needs
- Strong organizational abilities for managing documentation and IEPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored for each student
- Facilitate and lead IEP meetings with families and school staff
- Collaborate daily with paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Maintain all required special education documentation
