Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Certified Special Education Teacher; New Jersey special education license preferred
  • Relevant classroom experience, particularly at the elementary level
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with general education teachers
  • Commitment to differentiated instruction, inclusion, and equitable outcomes for diverse learners
  • Ability to support and adapt materials for first-grade students with various learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver resource support to students in a first-grade classroom, tailoring instruction to individual needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to foster a positive learning environment
  • Communicate actively with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student progress
  • Maintain compliance with school protocols and state requirements, including timely completion of reports
