Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Special Education teaching credential or license as required by the state
- Demonstrated experience in individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to meet a variety of learning needs
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, particularly with special education populations
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction in individual and small group settings, focusing on each students unique learning goals
- Develop, monitor, and review IEPs, maintaining compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success across academic and behavioral domains
- Employ positive behavior management strategies and differentiated instruction techniques
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, accommodations, and services provided
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
