Job Description
Seeking a Special Education Teacher for a contract position in a school setting located in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored educational plans and strategies for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Monitor and document student performance, behavior, and development
- Adapt curriculum materials to meet student abilities and learning styles
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and parent conferences
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with a wide range of disabilities
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
