Job Description
Make an immediate impact as a Special Education Teacher, working full-time onsite in a collaborative school environment serving 2nd and 3rd grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments. This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 8:00AM2:30PM, allowing you to focus on individualized instruction and dedicated student support from your start date through June 25, 2026.
In this role, youll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise and compassion in a supportive academic setting, working closely with colleagues to foster student growth and development. Your efforts will help shape a positive, inclusive classroom experience where every students abilities are championed.
Desired Qualifications:
- School-based experience in special education required
- Current and active MA teaching license or certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for elementary students with intellectual or developmental delays
- Ability to pass a CORI check; fingerprinting required (letter of suitability from a previous employer may be applicable)
- Commitment to collaboration and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to 2nd and 3rd grade students with special needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
