Located close to Cambridge, MA, this position offers the chance to collaborate with a dynamic school team, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Multiple openings are available, including high school inclusion roles, special education teachers for sub-separate autism programs, and resource room teachers at various grade levels.
Qualifications youll bring:
- Active Massachusetts Special Education (MA SPED) teaching license
- Experience working in K-12 education, ideally as a special education teacher
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Passion for fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment
Role responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored instruction to support each students needs in accordance with IEPs and educational best practices
- Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to maximize student success
- Providing direct instruction in resource rooms, sub-separate autism programs, or inclusion settings based on caseload
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, maintaining accurate and thorough records
- Communicating regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure a comprehensive team approach
