Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct instruction to students in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating closely with general education teachers and support staff for inclusive education
- Managing a caseload of 15-20 students while adapting teaching techniques to diverse learning strengths
- Maintaining accurate records, progress notes, and IEP documentation
- Engaging families in student progress and school activities
- Supporting classroom routines that encourage learner independence and social skills
- Attending team meetings and professional development sessions
