Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in an engaging K-12 educational environment near Burnsville, MN. This contract opportunity covers several multiple leave positions for the 2026-2027 school year, serving as a vital resource for students with unique learning needs. Positions are available at the elementary, middle, and high school levels across the district, with a focus on ASD classroom and resource settings.
What Youll Bring:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
- Proven experience teaching students with special needs, especially in ASD and resource settings
- Ability to collaborate with staff, support teams, and families to create an inclusive classroom
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in ASD setting 3 classrooms (elementary and middle school) and resource classrooms (middle and high school)
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Monitor student progress, update documentation, and deliver interventions as needed
- Engage with general education teachers to support universal design strategies
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, staff collaboration, and professional development sessions
- Maintain compliance with all district and state requirements
This is a full-time, in-person contract position, beginning September 1, 2026, and ending June 2, 2027. Multiple openings are available, offering the chance to impact various grade levels. Interview process will be conducted virtually via Zoom.
