Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education (appropriate grade level).
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field; Masters preferred.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
- Proficient in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for helping students reach their fullest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to student IEPs.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements.
- Modify teaching materials and methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators.
- Encourage a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Engage regularly with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and challenges.
- Participate in professional development opportunities as required.
