Job Description
Make a direct and meaningful impact on students as a Special Education Teacher across various grade levels, from Early Childhood through High School, including Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, and Secondary settings. Work alongside a dedicated educational team in a contract position in an engaging and supportive school environment near Burbank, CA.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education.
- Experience with students from diverse backgrounds ranging from Pre-K to Grade 12.
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction techniques.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Ability to foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Comfortable adapting math curriculum to meet a variety of learning needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized and group instruction to students with a range of abilities and needs.
- Adapt educational materials and methods to ensure accessibility and engagement.
- Develop IEPs in partnership with families, service providers, and school personnel.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to promote positive outcomes.
- Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions.
