Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher licensed in West Virginia to support students in a school setting. This full-time, contract-to-hire position is based in the Charles Town area and runs through the end of the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with special needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to meet educational goals
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement
  • Communicate regularly with families and guardians regarding student development and needs

Qualifications:

  • Valid West Virginia Special Education Certification is required
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse learners in special education
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
