Key Qualifications:

• A Bachelors or Masters in Education.
• Possession of a valid New York State teaching certificate in Special Education.
• SPED certification suitable for 2nd grade or a comprehensive (all grades) certification.
• Fulfills all district and state-specific requirements for professional licensure.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver customized lesson plans and direct instruction to a 2nd-grade student in a 1:1 setting.
• Use adaptive teaching methods to address learning challenges and celebrate achievements.
• Monitor progress, communicate regularly with staff and parents, and adjust approaches as needed.
• Participate as a constructive member of the schools educational team, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines.
