Job Description

Qualifications and Credentials:

  • Valid Connecticut special education teaching certification required
  • Experience or strong interest in high school resource and/or inclusion classrooms
  • Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive education and collaborative teamwork

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of high school students, providing instruction within resource and inclusion environments
  • Adapt curriculum materials to suit varying abilities and learning styles
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals in alignment with best practices and regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize academic and social-emotional outcomes
  • Maintain accurate student records and participate in IEP meetings

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.50 to $55.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
