As a Special Education Teacher, youll create a nurturing, inclusive classroom for students with diverse learning needs, shaping the future while growing professionally.
What Were Looking For:
- Current New York Special Education Teacher license
- Certification to teach grades 1-6
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies and IEP implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm for creating positive learning experiences tailored to individual strengths and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate a variety of learning styles in an elementary setting
- Develop, review, and modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Assess student progress, adapt instructional methods, and maintain detailed documentation
- Foster a safe, inclusive space where each child can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure all students receive appropriate services
- Effectively communicate with parents, guardians, and district representatives to support student success

Compensation for this position ranges from $23.00 to $43.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
