Special Education Teachers are needed to support students across Massachusetts in contract roles with K-12 caseloads. As a licensed Special Education Teacher in Massachusetts, you will help foster growth and achievement for learners at all grade levels.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education License
- Experience working with students in K-12 educational settings
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to a range of academic and behavioral needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress
- Modify curriculum and instruction to meet student learning goals
- Track and assess student performance, maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school staff activities
- Manage diverse classroom typesincluding resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, and inclusion models
