Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Demonstrated experience working with students with a range of disabilities (mild to moderate and/or severe)
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to differentiate instruction and utilize various strategies to address learning needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, individualized lessons based on each student's IEP goals
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional techniques as needed
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and specialists
- Develop, implement, and track IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about student goals and achievements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with all regulations
