Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License, along with any additional certifications required by the state
• Experience working in special education within a school setting
• Familiarity with CT-SEDS is highly preferred
• Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute positively to multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective and engaging personalized instruction to students with special needs in an onsite classroom environment
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and other professionals to support student growth and progress
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and other required documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere where every student feels valued
• Utilize best practices in special education to adapt curriculum and instruction
• Remain up-to-date with educational standards and legal requirements
