Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education (SPED) teaching license (required)
- Previous experience supporting students with Significant Support Needs (SSN) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and adapting curriculum to individual needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Resilience, flexibility, and a compassionate approach to education
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to a small group of 11 students with significant support needs
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), tailored to each students abilities and growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and growth
