Step into an impactful contract opportunity serving as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Early Childhood at a dynamic PK-8 school near Brighton, CO. In this full-time position covering a leave of absence from August 20 through October 30, 2026, youll play a vital role leading both morning and afternoon preschool sessions. This role places you at the center of a collaborative, supportive environment with two classroom paraprofessionals plus in-class Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology services.
Key Qualifications:
- Current CDE Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE) license is required
- Experience serving as a lead teacher or case manager in early childhood special education settings
- Proficiency managing a caseload and providing direct ECSE services
- Strong organizational skills and ability to build positive relationships with young learners, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Collaborative mindset to partner effectively with support personnel and families
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive educational experiences
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead educator for both morning and afternoon preschool classes, each with up to 18 students
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for up to 10 children who require ECSE services
- Manage documentation, IEP development, and progress monitoring for assigned students
- Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, OT, SLP, and families to create a nurturing, individualized learning environment
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth in all students
This is an onsite position with hours from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, offering a structured and rewarding schedule as you help children build essential foundations for lifelong learning.
