A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Fairmont, WV, focused on elementary students with moderate to severe needs. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 5, 2026, supporting two students requiring specialized educational plans and personalized attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Provide direct instruction and therapeutic support tailored to students' unique learning needs
- Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to foster academic and social development
- Collaborate with families, school staff, and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state regulations and school policies
Qualifications:
- WV Special Education Teacher certification is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with moderate to severe special education needs
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
