Special Education Teachers are sought for contract roles in Massachusetts, offering the chance to work with students across a range of grade levels from kindergarten through high school. Various classroom environments are available, ensuring an engaging and dynamic work experience as you make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license is required
- Experience working with K12 students preferred
- Adaptable to a variety of classroom settings, including resource, inclusion, and self-contained classrooms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs and abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction tailored to each students IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school staff and families
- Modify curriculum, instructional strategies, and learning materials to address individual student needs
- Employ positive behavioral interventions and supports within a safe, supportive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and professional collaboration
