Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education License (required)
• Previous experience supporting students with diverse abilities, preferably in a K-12 setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt lessons and teaching approaches to meet individual student needs within a range of classroom types
• Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct instruction and collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place
• Assess student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and professional development as required
