Job Description

Step confidently into a role dedicated to supporting young learners as a contract Early Childhood Special Education Teacher in a vibrant PK-8 school setting near Boulder, CO. This opportunity runs from August 20 to October 30, and is ideal for professionals passionate about early intervention and classroom collaboration.

As the lead teacher, youll guide both morning and afternoon preschool sessions with up to 18 energized students in each group. In addition, youll serve as the case manager for up to 10 students receiving Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services, making a true difference in their academic and personal growth. The classroom benefits from the daily support of two paraprofessionals, as well as in-class occupational therapy and speech-language services to help every child thrive.

Qualifications:

  • Current CDE ECSE (Early Childhood Special Educator) license is required
  • Proven experience in special education within early childhood settings
  • Familiarity with managing IEPs and collaborating as a case manager
  • Strong skills in coordinating with paraprofessionals, OT, SLPs, and families
  • Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive instructional lessons for both AM and PM preschool sessions
  • Oversee and case manage up to 10 students receiving specialized ECSE services
  • Work cooperatively with paraprofessionals and related service providers in the classroom
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment for all students
  • Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families and staff
