Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school community located near Bothell, WA. This part-time position (.5 FTE) offers the chance to make an immediate and meaningful difference in the lives of students. The assignment is in-person only and runs from now through June 12, 2026.

You will primarily support one student at the high school level, beginning with focused sessions one day a week for a few hours. As you help this student acclimate, the schedule may evolve and your role will broaden to assist additional students and classrooms for the remainder of your part-time hours. The overall mission is to gradually increase student participation and foster academic growth.

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington Special Education Teaching License and certificationcredentials must be current and active
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a high school environment
• Flexibility and adaptability as scheduling details are finalized
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and personalized support to students with special needs, starting with targeted, one-on-one interventions
• Collaborate with school team members and families to tailor educational plans and adapt strategies
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and communication logs
• Assist in other SPED classrooms based on student and program needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning atmosphere
