Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current Washington State Special Education (SPED) License and Certification required
  • Early Childhood certification (must be obtained prior to start)
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children or in developmental preschools highly valued
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Positive, patient, and flexible when adapting to student needs
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored instruction to preschool students with individualized learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in alignment with best practices and state guidelines
  • Work closely with families, caregivers, and support staff to foster inclusive and supportive learning environments
  • Use creativity and evidence-based strategies to address developmental milestones
  • Track student progress and provide ongoing feedback to all stakeholders
