Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education License required
- Experience with K-12 special education caseloads, preferably across multiple classroom environments
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to implement accommodations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to creating positive, supportive learning environments that promote student growth
Location:
- Boston, Massachusetts (contract position)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with varying disabilities within inclusive or specialized classrooms
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state guidelines
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet evolving needs
- Maintain detailed records and participate in team meetings and parent conferences
