A special education teaching opportunity is available in Boston, MA, offering a contract role dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs. This position focuses on delivering tailored educational plans, fostering inclusive classroom environments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with varying disabilities
- Adapt instructional materials and teaching techniques to meet students unique learning styles
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve learning goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support comprehensive student development
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages social and academic growth
- Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay current with best practices in special education
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in special education
- Experience working with children with special needs in a school setting
