Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Valid state-issued Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability to work with diverse student populations and collaborate with colleagues

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying abilities
• Adapt and modify curriculum to suit learning needs and goals
• Deliver engaging small group and individualized instruction
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and IEP compliance
• Create an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
