Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid teaching license with a special education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working in a K-12 setting, preferably with students who have varying abilities
- Ability to design and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with general educators, specialists, and families
- Commitment to inclusive practices and fostering a supportive classroom culture
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) according to student needs
- Adapting curriculum materials and instructional techniques to ensure access for all learners
- Conducting ongoing assessment and progress monitoring to refine instructional strategies
- Managing classroom routines and behavior proactively, reinforcing positive behaviors
- Maintaining detailed records and preparing necessary reports in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Working closely with support staff and related service providers to coordinate comprehensive services
- Actively participating in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
