Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Valid Special Education Teaching license
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
- Experience adapting curriculum and instructional strategies for various learning styles and abilities
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively and create an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on students unique educational needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Regularly assess and monitor students progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and encouraging growth
- Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support students academic and social development
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies
