• Proficiency in managing diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Comfort with adapting curriculum and instructional techniques for various learning styles
• Organizational skills to maintain and update student records and progress reports

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement tailored lessons addressing students unique strengths and challenges
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment
• Develop, review, and update IEPs in accordance with state requirements and student progress
• Assess, document, and report on student performance, using data to continuously refine instructional approaches
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to ensure student success and engagement
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings, participate in professional development, and stay current with best practices in special education
• Promote a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive
