Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience adapting instructional strategies to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Familiarity with current teaching methodologies, technologies, and assessment tools
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor IEPs while providing tailored instruction for students with a variety of learning needs
- Assess students progress, collect data, and adjust teaching methods to promote optimal academic and social-emotional development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Communicate regularly with caregivers to ensure continuity between home and school support
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in best practices
