Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or masters degree in Special Education or a related field
• Active state Special Education teaching certification
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Familiarity with various instructional modifications and assistive technologies
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff
• Ability to manage a diverse classroom, providing differentiated instruction for students with varying needs
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and IEP goals
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom atmosphere
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student development
• Conduct parent meetings and participate in conferences as required
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student records and progress
• Provide interventions and supports for behavioral and academic challenges
