Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Special Education License
- Moderate Disabilities endorsement (required)
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Strong commitment to individualized student support
- Ability to work effectively with small caseloads (10-12 students)
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with moderate disabilities in grades K3
- Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and classroom goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure an inclusive classroom environment
- Collect data and monitor student progress to drive instructional decisions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Foster a supportive, engaging, and safe classroom atmosphere
- Partner with resource specialists and therapists to coordinate comprehensive services
