A Massachusetts Certified Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in North Billerica, MA. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 16, 2026, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment.
The position focuses on providing inclusive support and pull-out instruction to elementary students within a general education setting, rather than a specialized program. The role entails working a 6.5-hour school day, Monday through Friday, totaling 32.5 hours per week full-time equivalent (FTE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students with special education needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to facilitate inclusion.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration to support student learning.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience teaching elementary grade levels preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inclusion methods and pull-out instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
