Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid DESE license in Moderate or Severe Special Needs (required)
- Prior experience with high school students in special education settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and creativity in addressing student needs and classroom dynamics
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Partner with other educators, therapists, and families to maximize student progress
- Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to each students unique strengths and needs
- Create a supportive, structured atmosphere that encourages learning and emotional growth
- Track and report student progress in alignment with school and district requirements
