Job Description
A contract position is available for three Special Education Teachers to support middle and high school students. This role is located in Waltham, MA, and requires working 37.5 hours per week over five days. The ideal candidates will hold a valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) license and have experience working with diverse student populations in middle and high school settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid MA Special Education teaching license
- Experience teaching middle and/or high school students with special needs
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student success
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional plans to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and maintain IEPs
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on student performance
