Job Description
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available at an elementary school in Marlborough, MA, focusing on an ASD program known as the Pathways program. This contract position is designed for educators holding a valid SPED Massachusetts license, passionate about supporting children in special education.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction tailored to the unique needs of elementary students within an ASD-focused caseload.
- Manage an assigned caseload of students effectively to foster academic and social growth.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize the daily 40-minute preparation period and 30-minute lunch break to organize lessons and plan interventions.
- Maintain detailed records and communicate progress with families and support staff.
- Participate in an inclusive school community that values continuous professional development.
Qualifications:
- SPED Massachusetts teaching license required.
- Experience with ASD students and special education techniques preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to student advocacy and personalized learning plans.
Hours and Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch break.
- Workdays aligned with the school year calendar in a structured elementary environment.
