Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Marlborough, MA, supporting elementary students within an ASD program (Pathways program). This role offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break and a daily 40-minute prep period to prepare individualized lessons and interventions.
The caseload involves working closely with a dedicated group of elementary-aged students with special education needs, providing targeted instruction and support tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). This position requires a Massachusetts Special Education license, ensuring that candidates are well-equipped to address both academic and developmental goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED MA) teaching license
- Experience working with elementary-age students, preferably within an ASD or Pathways program
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities include creating and delivering specialized lesson plans, tracking student progress, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
