• Middle school teacher serving students with emotional disabilities
• Middle school teacher supporting students with functional/life skills needs
• Elementary school teacher working with students with emotional disabilities

The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, offering both stability and the chance to build lasting relationships within your classroom.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Kansas Special Education Certification (KS SPED Cert) required
• Demonstrated expertise working with students with emotional disabilities or functional/life skills needs, preferably in a school setting
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive, inclusive environment
• Collaborative, flexible, and dedicated to individualized instruction
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for partnering with families and colleagues

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each students IEP
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and achievement-focused classroom culture
• Collaborate with administrators, therapists, and parents to support holistic student success
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with all school and state documentation requirements
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
