Job Description

An educational opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher focused on supporting students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This contract position offers 35 hours per week during the 2026-2027 school year and is located in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Provide specialized instruction and support for students in K-3rd grade.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including parents, therapists, and general education staff.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with educational standards and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois schools, obtained through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
  • Experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Commitment to professional growth and student success.
