- Provide tailored instruction designed to help each child achieve their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Adapt and differentiate the elementary curriculum to suit various learning styles and abilities
- Incorporate behavior support plans and effective classroom management techniques
- Foster collaboration with general education teachers, related service professionals, and families to ensure cohesive support
- Monitor student progress through diligent data collection and maintain thorough compliance documentation
- Play an integral part in IEP meetings and school team discussions to advocate for student needs
Ideal candidates will have:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education certification or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience with elementary students is highly valued
