This full-time contract position runs the entire school year and is conveniently located near Blue Springs, MO.
Ideal candidates are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This school is open to Special Education Teachers who hold current Missouri licensure or are fully certified elsewhere and in the process of obtaining Missouri credentials.
Qualifications:
- Current Missouri Special Education Teacher license, or eligible for pending MO licensure if fully licensed in another state
- Experience or strong interest in elementary self-contained and/or secondary resource co-teaching environments
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs, adapt curriculum, and collaborate with general education staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Dedication to supporting diverse learners and their families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to student needs
- Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate a variety of learning styles
- Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor progress toward IEP goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
