What Were Looking For:

• Valid Illinois Educator Certification (Special Education)
• Background with students who have moderate to significant disabilities (autism, developmental delay, intellectual disability)
• Competency with AAC and complex communication needs
• Experience in highly structured, self-contained classroom settings
• Proficiency in individualized and modified instruction, visual supports, and structured routines
• Collaborative mindset working alongside paraprofessionals and related service providers

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to 6 K-3 ICP students
• Develop and implement individualized lessons using the Unique Learning System
• Foster functional communication and foundational academic skills
• Maintain structured routines and a positive, supportive environment
• Partner closely with paraprofessionals and other educators
