Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Special Education teaching certification (required)
• Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students in a special education setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Positive, flexible, and organized mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a classroom setting to students with diverse abilities
• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with legal requirements and best practices
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school administrators, and support professionals to coordinate services
• Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with students families and advocate for student needs
• Assist with transitions and behavioral support as needed
