Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Proven experience or a strong interest in teaching elementary students with autism
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum for diverse learner needs
- Capacity for patience, empathy, and creative problem-solving in the classroom
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and fellow educators
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction and interventions tailored to students on the autism spectrum
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers to implement IEP goals
- Maintain ongoing communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
- Track, assess, and report on student achievement to ensure educational milestones are met
