Job Description
Make a difference every day by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis for the upcoming school term. You'll work closely with students, families, and educational teams, helping students with diverse learning needs reach their full potential in an inclusive school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification for North Dakota (or eligibility for certification)
- Previous experience in special education settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative, flexible approach to problem-solving and teamwork
- Passion for helping all students succeed
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver instruction tailored to students individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student growth
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Create and maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere
- Utilize various instructional strategies and adaptive technologies to meet each students needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary
