Begin making an impact immediately, as this position starts as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. Your core hours will mirror the middle school day, from 7:25 AM to 2:40 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.
What we look for:
- Current Connecticut Special Education Teacher (CT SPED) licensure
- Experience or strong interest working with middle school students
- Familiarity with push in/pull out models of instruction
- Knowledge and skill in addressing behavioral needs and implementing effective interventions
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
What youll be doing:
- Providing specialized instruction to middle school students within the AIM program
- Collaborating closely with colleagues and support staff to address academic and behavioral goals
- Utilizing both push in and pull out models to deliver individualized and small-group interventions
- Monitoring progress, maintaining records, and contributing to IEP development and meetings
- Building positive relationships with students, helping them build skills for academic and personal success
