Job Description

Desired Background & Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education Teacher endorsement (required onsite)
  • Previous experience, training, or strong interest in early childhood special education
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead effective instruction tailored to K-1 students unique learning needs
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximize engagement and achievement
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and specialists to provide integrated support
  • Maintain detailed student records and prepare necessary documentation in compliance with requirements

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
