Desired Qualifications:
- Current state certification in Special Education (appropriate grade level)
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and behavior intervention strategies
- Adaptability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide specialized instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings
- Modify and adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to accommodate students diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusion
- Collect and assess student data to track progress and inform instruction
- Communicate regularly with families, sharing updates and strategies for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and team planning
